Opening Day

Theme: Space for All

Session 1:

A high-level plenary featuring government and industry representatives, including equal gender representation, from organizations like NASA, ISRO, DRDO, and academia. This session will set the theme and context for the convening.

Session 2:

A panel discussion with young startup heads and researchers on global space advancements, focusing on Space & Climate Change, followed by a Q&A session.

Session 3:

An ice-breaking session for all participants, including activities to build rapport and introduce the theme "Space for All."

Session 4:

An overview of the YSEC mission and agenda for the next two days, including a presentation on the theme.

Session 5:

A round table for youth to informally discuss ideas and get to know each other more. Participants will also have the chance to share their work and experiences

Session 6:

Creation of working groups (WGs) and briefing. There will be three groups as follows:

WG1. Space as a Driver of Change, looking at global commons and space policy

WG2. The intersections of Space, focusing on Energy

WG3. The Future Forward special focuses on space education and technology

WG4. Space and Art

Day 01

Session 1:

Presentations by international experts on global space policies and gatherings, bridging the connection to the Working Groups. (Hybrid*)

Session 2:

​Keynote address on the theme

Session 3:

The final round of the debate will involve observers and audience polling.

Session 4:

Working Groups : The sessions will focus on discussing topics that will lead to the draft of the outcome statement, emphasizing discussion and initial idea generation.

Session 5:

Continuation of the Working Group sessions, focusing on organizing and finalizing points and statements for the draft outcome statement.

DAY 03

Theme: MUN and the Way Forward

Session 1:

Organizers will provide a briefing on the events of the last two days and outline the plan for the future.

Session 2:

Two concurrent events will take place. One will be the Model UN, involving selected participants. The other will be the continuation of the Working Group sessions, focusing on drafting the outcome statement.

Session 3:

Continuation of the Model UN and finalization of the outcome statement drafts by all Working Groups.

Session 4:

Each of the four Working Groups will give a brief presentation, followed by the announcement of the Model UN and Debate winners.

Session 5:

​Participants from across the nation will share their stories and experiences.

Session 6:

A small musical performance by Virah band on Space and change

Session 7:

A final gathering with experts and organizers will take place, featuring formal closing remarks and discussions about the way forward.
